Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

Where exactly is Reposé?

In the hills of Nassau, New York — Rensselaer County — between the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires. About two and a half hours from New York City and Boston, forty minutes from Albany. The full address comes with your confirmation.

Why book direct instead of Airbnb?

Same homes, same host, no platform service fee, and direct guests get first pick of dates plus the extras on our menu. Returning guests get a little more again.

How many people can the Main House sleep?

Sixteen comfortably in the eight king beds across seven bedrooms; up to twenty with the extra kit, arranged in advance. Tell us your headcount when you inquire and we will set the house accordingly.

Is the pool open year-round?

No — it is an outdoor pool, open roughly late May through September. The pond, the trails and the fire pits are year-round.

Can we bring our dog?

We love dogs, but the estate is pet-free for now to keep the homes allergy-safe.

Can we host an event or a wedding?

Not as a standalone event venue. Celebrations among guests staying at the house are welcome; anything larger needs prior approval, so ask first.

What is the minimum stay?

Three nights on weekends for the Main House, two nights midweek and for the Tiny Home. Holiday weekends may run longer.

Is the Tiny Home really private?

Yes. It sits on its own waterfront section of the estate, far from the Main House. Guests in the two homes very rarely see each other.

How do we check in?

Self check-in with a code we send before arrival. The owners are one message away throughout your stay, and a crew on the ground looks after the property.

What is your cancellation policy?

It depends on the season and how you booked; the exact terms are shown before you confirm. Ask us if you are unsure — we would rather talk it through.
